I spent the long weekend in L.A. with my hubby for some down time after the busy holiday season.  These pictures are from the morning we spent cruising down the PCH with the windows open.  Had brunch at Moonshadows and kind of got lost (in the good "let's see where we end up" kind of way - not the "wanting to kill each other for not listening to the GPS" kind of way).

This weekend we fit in date night, a cocktail party, Indian food, and even some bowling.  And finally, we got cronuts.  Totally worth all the hype.

So over this wet-blanket weather.  It rained off and on quite a bit, but we still did our usual thing, had a fun night out with a few of our neighbors for the first time and hung out with our girls.  I did some rearranging in my closet (a mild obsession of mine) so I felt productive.  We also took a Sunday morning drive in our neighborhood to try a new bakery that promised cronuts but didn't deliver.  We got there at 10am and they were already sold out.  All I'm saying is that when I finally get my hands on a cronut, it better be damn good.

Just an old school 4th of July weekend with family and friends.  My 4 day weekend was amazing; one painful Monday coming right up.

In spite of the rain that pretty much made outside a hot soggy mess, we still managed to spend almost the entire weekend out and about.  I caught up with old friends over happy hour ($1 oysters, can't beat it), a Saturday afternoon BBQ, and even a little girls night gossip over what has to be the best sparkling wine flight I've come across.  I took a new pair of shoes for a spin and luckily they stayed dry.  Thanks to the weather my hair was wild, but my plants are nice and green - glass half-full.

Ever had an avocado margarita?  I hadn't until this weekend and it was delicious.  It was one of many interesting concoctions at this super cute new place we went to Saturday night.  Unfortch for me, thanks to the tempting drink menu, Sunday morning came way too quickly.  Home cooked meals and homemade cocktails (recipes coming soon!), lots of time outdoors, and of course our baby girls rounded out the weekend.  

  

  

Weekend Snaps: Father's Day

Another hot and sunny weekend flew by.  We went to our newest neighborhood bakery for a gelato panini (you read that right, gelato spread on a chocolate croissant, pressed in a panini press) checked out a new Tequila bar (pineapple-cilantro margs? I'll take one) had some pool time with our little ones, and spent a lovely father's day with family and friends.  Simple, short, and sweet.  

Weekend Snaps: Atlanta

We spent the weekend in Atlanta visiting friends and it was fabulous. ATL is a city of amazing food, so we pretty much spent 48 hours eating and drinking our way around town.  Back to chicken and vegetables - it's detox time.

Our weekend was filled with food, friends, and some tasty drinks, a lot of rain, a family trip to the zoo, weekly Sunday morning coffee at home, a pit stop at our favorite taco joint,  some sweet Friday afternoon arrivals to my closet,  RSVP'ing to an exciting wedding invitation, and overall fun and relaxation.  Recharged and ready for the week!
