I have yet to wear this dress as a dress, because I'm so into long toppers right now (see here, and here). My obsession with jackets is borderline unhealthy (50+ and counting) but I can't stop and I won't because they are the strong finish to any outfit. Think about it - it doesn't matter what the eff you're wearing underneath if your jacket is fab and your hair is combed (bad hair distracts from everything).
